About the School
We believe that every student has the ability to learn and succeed. Thomas A. Edison High School offers the tools, and the support, that enable students with learning differences to discover that ability within themselves.
Our mission is to empower students with learning differences to experience academic success and personal growth, while preparing them for the future.
Small but mighty, our strength lies in our size. An eight-to-one student/teacher ratio allows for an individualized curriculum, and ensures personal attention from our instructors. That focus, coupled with an emphasis on emotional support, opens the door to accomplishment and achievement for our students-many for the first time. We never fail to be moved by it.
We see our juniors and seniors begin to dream of a future beyond our walls. We watch our graduates go on to vocational schools, two- or four-year colleges, the workforce or a combination of those options. In short, they are more likely to become the productive, involved, self-sustaining citizens our community needs.
